Just remember that poor woman who died from overdosing on water.
Everything in moderation, folks. And that includes alochol.

But do NOT forget to take vitamin supplements. That's important.

Aubrey, having to dialyse (is that the right verb?) must be horrible. Does that mean no alcohol?

No! I have whisky, and ice. Dialysis itself is OK - lying about for 4 hours and reading. There is a fluid restriction though - about a pint a day (I'm at my mother's this week and going over the limit every day, with tea, drink of the gods). (Dialyse is right, though Firefox doesn't like it - then again, it doesn't like whisky either.)

Any chance of a transplant? Are you on the list?

Not yet. I'm seeing about getting one off my sister (though I'm not sure whether I should have hers, really). Still - we'll do tests and see if we're compatible before deciding. If not, I'll go on the list. (I should say that I look forward to dialysis sessions: you get a cup of tea and sandwiches, and a glass of crushed ice, which I'd have now even if I do get a transplant; I had never realised how wonderful it is before)

Hope it works out for you.
