I got all excited when I began reading this from today's Telegraph website. "Researchers studying the potential health benefits of dark chocolate at UEA in Norwich, Norfolk, need 40 women to test specially made bars.
Participants must be post-menopausal and have type 2 diabetes to help see whether flavonoid compounds in chocolate can reduce the risk of heart disease."I don't have diabetes; not fair! full story

.........and what about the effect of the fat compounds? I do have the sneakiest suspicion that this is one of those things that many people have known for years, but scientists will be scientists I suppose.
