Tough on Biscuits - Tough on the crumbling of Biscuits!
Who said Gordon Brown crumbles under questioning? The PM jammy dodged inquiries about his favourite biscuit as he took part in a live web chat.
Mumsnet users speculated that it might be Garibaldi or Nice. Another asked whether he dunked.
But Mr Brown was having none of it and left the hour long session with the question unanswered.
The PM was more open about his health, after speculation about his eyesight, saying he was "fighting fit".
He also answered questions on the government's record on families, childcare, swine flu and expenses.
Asked about his eyesight, after No 10 revealed on Sunday he had suffered minor damage to the retina in his right eye, he thanked people for their interest in his health.
"I am fine, run a lot, keep fit," he said
"I have had one problem. I lost my sight in one eye playing rugby but the sight in the other eye was saved by brilliant NHS staff and there has been no deterioration in my sight since. So I am fighting fit."
Mr Brown joins a growing list of politicians to take part in web chats on social media sites aimed at mothers, including Tory leader David Cameron and Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg.

There could have been a reason for it. When G Bush (the old one) said he didn't like Broccoli the sales of the divine stuff (I mean, what an idiot) went down a lot.
Then again, maybe he just doesn't know. I don't. Sometimes one, sometimes another.

Yeah but if you were pressed to name one, if you really had to say one, you could probably manage to admit it's shortbread.

Perhaps he has phases of biscuits - so though he has a favourite at the moment - it might not be next week's favourite? He wouldn't want to tarnish the reputation of one biscuit over another would he?

Do you know, I don't buy biscuits usually. The only time I might buy them is if I'm expecting my nephews or my grandchildren. At the moment there are a few chocolate digestives and fig rolls knocking about but once Mr. E. has eaten them that will be it.
Similarly, crisps and nuts. It's all for the good of our health. Although I do have a wonderful recipe for chocolate chip and pecan nut cookies and sometimes, in a weak moment, I bake about a hundred and freeze them, but we only eat them with ice cream as a dessert.
Oh, and chocolate brownies. I have some in my freezer. Must get some out for tonight's dessert.
;D

I dunno how well they go with whisky but Carr's Cheese Melts are very dangerous crackers to have in a house.
Homemade biscuits are amazing. My mum's friend makes the thinnest melt in your mouth shortbread. One is always enough because they are so divine, like eating wishes.
For us lazy non-baker types, M&Ms cookie dough is another dangerous thing to have in the house. Just cut a couple of slices, cook for 10 mins, and eat warm, riddled with little M&Ms melting throughout...oh my god, I need to lie down.

Oh, and chocolate brownies. I have some in my freezer. Must get some out for tonight's dessert. ;D Mrs E - the Hash Queen of Chelmsford! I used to bake biscuits all the time - just simple cookies with either ginger or coconut in. Trouble is, I had quite a nice kitchen then which encouraged cooking - where I am now, though it looked OK at first is just really really crap for cooking in and I haven't enjoyed a good baking session in ages. Perhaps it's one of the reasons that this house depresses me somewhat. Ironically we did look over a house with a fabulous kitchen/diner with LOADS of cupboard space and worktop room, BUT it had one big bedroom and just two single bedrooms instead of the usual two double and one single, which is more useful (we thought).
