I will report back in detail after I've sampled Right, I had lunch in an OK Diner. Not gourmet, but at least as good as any motorway or A1 eatery I've ever eaten at in this country (with the exception of an Indian place near Chester which is now gone). I had an "American Chicken Grill" with a Caesar salad on the side and a pot of tea. Pretty good. Good bottled chilli sauce, friendly service, US-style diner furniture and uniforms, jolly decor, and stimulating 50s background music (not too loud). The "curly fries" are a bit of a useless gimmick, but they tasted fine. Baked potato instead if desired. A few vegetarian dishes available as well. The salad was excellent. £12.70. A minor problem was a couple of American good'ole boys having a loud conversation in the corner -- really -- but I dare say that doesn't happen every day in every branch. Unless they hire them for atmosphere, that is. Major problems -- no jukebox, no Rocker bints.

Definitely. Even if it were a Rocker stronghold, you have a devoted advocate and protector.
