£5000??? Shurely sum mishtake? Yeah. No wonder these people can afford £20 for a gadget to open the egg. It's a drop in the ocean. The only thing I ever liked about soft boiled eggs was the part where you hit it violently with a spoon. Why anyone would want to remove that joy, I do not know.   |

I think the lady knows what I mean. Berliner is big enough in any case, he said modestly. (I did buy the Telegraph the day they started revealing MPs' thievery. First time for at least 30 years. It's not as bad as it used to be.) |

Ahh, so you are a smasher rather than a slicer too? I never slice as I'm terrified of getting minute pieces of shell imbedded in the egg. If I accidentally eat shell while consuming a boiled egg it really turns me off. |

Ahh, so you are a smasher rather than a slicer too? I never slice as I'm terrified of getting minute pieces of shell imbedded in the egg. If I accidentally eat shell while consuming a boiled egg it really turns me off. Yes, shell in the mouth is highly unpleasant. It really has never dawned on me that anyone would do anything other than tap, scoop or smash.  Slicing the top off an egg seems so anal. Positively OCD if you need to buy a crystal encrusted gadget to do it that neatly. |
