i was going to say some kind of dough hook - but if it graps 'n' squeezes - a nut cracker or a proto type for a juicer.

Here we go - wot is this? Is it for recapturing and restraining escaped baby haggises? Or possibly for plunging them -- or Mars bars -- into the smoking-hot oil after coating them with batter?

Is it anything to do with tea-bagging?

Is it anything to do with tea-bagging? That's just really, really vulgar.

Oooh - we've discovered Trubble's secret pastime ;D The TeatoolYou use it to take teabags out of the cup. As the brilliantly descriptive blurb on the packaging says - "Grab it. Dunk it. Squeeze it. Bin it" Genius

I was bought some tongs for teabags but by the time you've speared the bloody things and wrestled with them out of the teapot - you might as well just do it with your fingers anyway.
I won't put teabags straight in the bin either - makes it smell. Compost bin in the Summer - in a milk bottle during the Winter months, so it can be sealed and chucked.

Has anybody noticed the ad for the Lakeland egg boiler which now appears at the top of the page?
I very nearly bought one, but I bought one of those eggy change colour timer things instead.
Now you may sneer and tut and mock, but I have never been able to boil an egg properly. I've described before how I put 3 or 4 eggs in a pot and just open them & discard until 1 is ready. But the eggy change colour thingy is brilliant. For the first time in my life I cooked a perfect boiled egg using only 1 egg. It was so good I've had about 6 since then and I've got another 2 on right now. Paul Newman's got nowt on me ;D
