Oh, I heard this today. Mind you, he was 84 wasn't he? However, he always seemed a nice genuine man and the whole boxing thing is, to me, so much tied up with my dear late dad (who boxed in his youth and was a devotee of the sport) that I felt very sad when I heard of Harry's death. It seems he was a respected and well loved person.
There was another 'Harry' - Harry Gibbs, who died in 1999 - probably the most famous boxing referee in this country. He was a docker all his life, and my dad, also a docker, knew him personally.
