did anyone used to watch this? i see the entire series is being released (re-released?) on dvd.. did anyone used to watch this? i LOVED it it was typical David Lynch.. beautiful, dark, surreal, weird, violent, funny, creepy, with a midget who talks back to front.. i think besides from the prisoner series from the 60s (which i loved watching repeats of when i was a kid) it was the first timer i realised how amazing and mind blowing and just like totally incredible a television series could be. and i think in a lot of respects it opened a lot of doors for a lot of the amazing drama/horror/paranormal series we now see coming out of the US.. great stuff.

First time I was in the States, 1989, I decided to stroll over to the local mall after work and absorb the ambience. This was in Colorado, in the foothills (*) of the Rocky Mountains. Vast azure blue sky, mile-high thin air, not a cloud in sight, blazing sun, freezing cold, vast empty carpark, not a soul in sight.
Then <eerie music> I noticed the name of the mall above the entrance -- Twin Peaks. Stranger in a strange land, cold prickly feeling. You can imagine. I went back to the motel and had a few beers instead.
* They call it the Front Range. I like that.
