I'm sorry, but Clegg & Cameron are coming over as jejeune Schools Debates Champs compared to Gordon. If you had to choose one of them to lead you - I mean if it was just about a choice of individuals - I would choose Gordon Brown.
He has gravitas. He is not all shiney and squeaky clean. He has a swarthy presence. He's like the Daddy, and they're Jedward.

They are all wearing make-up for the TV lights. It's what you have to do if you're going to be on TV like that.

What's Glee? Is it that stuff Asians put in curry? It's like 'High School The Musical', an American TV programme that is all the rage at the moment among the intelligensia. They are saying on TV that Clegg won the debate. I'm genuinely surprised. I thought he was hideously cheesey. Just goes to show that you'd never go broke underestimating the great British public . .

Alex's "I wanna play too" Political Broadcast was good. Alex vs Gordon Brown would have been electrifying. Alex would have shown these silly English posh boys (Clegg & Cameron) how to do the live debate thing.

He won it on the grounds of exceeding expectations by a mile, and on the grounds of actually answering the question. The other two moved the questions to their answers. However, Brown was still the one who looked most competent. Cameron was depressingly awful.

However, Brown was still the one who looked most competent. Cameron was depressingly awful. I thought Clegg left them in the dust, for the reasons above and because he handled the opportunity much more skillfully. I estimate that he is quite a bit more intelligent than the two Tories. The next two debates will be very interesting. But there's no way I'll be voting for either Brown or Cameron, no matter what they say or how they perform. I had decided to vote Plaid Cymru, but discussing it with my son -- a detached observer who is visiting from Holland -- has persuaded me to vote LibDem, which I was only avoiding because I don't like the sitting MP very much. Clegg's showing does nothing but confirm my vote. Listening to advice from offspring! Whatever next?!

Just had a thought. So Clegg was the mild mannered one who everyone liked, that must leave Brown as Compo and Cameron as Foggy! ;D
