Just got a very wonderful new Restaurant/Takeaway leaflet through the door.
A few highlights:
"Innovative Appetizers". With innovations such as onion bhajee and chicken tikka. And prawn cocktail.
"Authentic Assortments". Get your authentic chapati or nan here. Also authentic tikka nan.
"Superfluous". Papadom. Pikle. Mints. What did you expect? Tikka?
"Seat Meal". 1-, 2-, or 4-seater.
On a page headed HABITUAL FAVOURITES, these are just some of the delights awaiting the gourmet: Balti chicken tikka, Dupiaza chicken tikka, Kurma chicken tikka, Kashmir chicken tikka, Malayan chicken tikka, Pathia chicken tikka, Sagwalla chicken tikka, Bhuna chicken tikka, Dansak chicken tikka, Rogan chicken tikka, Ceylon chicken tikka, Moglai chicken tikka, and Madras chicken tikka.
And, of course, Spice Fusion chicken tikka Biryani, Tandoori chicken tikka, and Tandoori chicken tikka massala, on the SPECIALITIES page.
SPECIAL RECOMMENDATIONS page: Garlic chicken tikka, chicken tikka Pasanda, and chicken tikka Marchingwala.
There's a European section as well. Glaring omission here, I'm afraid -- no chicken tikka nuggets and chips to be seen.
And the winner is -- "Nargis Kebab: Boiled egg with mince lamb deep fried & dressed with a fried egg." I'm really not making any of this up.
Oh, by the way, it's all "EXCLUSIVE BANGLADESHI CUISINE". Exclusively from all over India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Birmingham by the look of it.
I will be trying the place, though. I'm a sucker for vindaloo, though I'll probably be avoiding their exclusively Bangladeshi innovative and superfluous chicken tikka vindaloo massala.
