I like the idea behind it, but we all know that it will end in tears, don't we? There will be someone who'll get themselves so worked up because someone else disagrees with them and then the insults will start and someone will threaten to knock someone else's block off and then Piffle will show up and Jean, Riot and I will scream and scream till we're sick.  |

My more philosophical approach is to spit, gouge, nut, and kick until they're so sick that they go and form yet another rant board. It's all part of life's rich tapestry bag'o'shyte, and a pretty good reason not to join in. You know my Cardinal Rule . . . never allow the chandeliers to get stained. |

There doesn't seem to be anyone except alan posting on it. But there are already so many rants on Lin's board, I can't see the need for another. Piffle/Toad sometimes comes over to MCL to leave something for me...but most of the time these days he's basking in the admiration of some new friends he's found: Admirer:
I'm glad we met, and the respect is mutual. You treat me as a PERSON, not just a woman, and believe it or not, that means alot. I hope you sleep/slept well. Will talk to you soon!

Jean, he can say what he likes and what he believes. I only have two issues with him:
1 - Rape - I just don't get where he's coming from on that, and I often feel that it's a very bad place, but I've never really felt I got to the bottom of it. He's either a man who should not be released, or else he's very misunderstood.
2 - You. His personal attacks on you are disgusting and I don't want to be on a board that let's them hapen. They go beyond the usual ya-boo-sucks message board insults. But you do rise to him every time. As people like ARF point out to you regularly. Mind you, I can see why you do. I would probably do the same. But posting your full, real name on a board where you didn't use it (and that's among the more milder things he's done to you/said about you) is beyond the pale.
Really beyond the pale.

'Admirer' was my name for her. She's admiring even more effusively today, and has given him another opportunity for another of his tirades about modern feminism.
