I haven't watched it because I don't like the thought of a modern day Sherlock. To be honest with you, I'm not that bothered about the Edwardian one either, but if I was forced to choose I'd go for Basil Rathbone any day. Are there any handsome young men it it, btw?

You are missing out by not watching the Jeremy Brett versions Mrs E...he truly captured the mad, tortured and slightly disturbed genius of Holmes. He played the part with amazing intensity. A true legend. (Wonderful production values as well). AH

I finally watched all three of the new Holmes programmes. The first stalled me. The second was very enjoyable. The third a thrill.
I can't wait for more. They're my favourite thing on TV for months and months. Excellent.
