I've just had an egg and half a tomato, both fried, on two crumpets (Warburton's) with two slices of bread. Really good it were.

I've just got back from a lovely Sunday lunch out with my friend.....we both chose the turkey, lots of roast veg, cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes and a winter berry sponge and custard to follow...excellent dark coffee to follow... then it was time to say au revoir...
*sigh*

We went out to dinner today. Our son and girlfriend were down from Edinburgh and our daughter, s-i-l, twins and the baby all came too.
It was a carvery and I had turkey and pork, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pud, cauliflower cheese, and peas. No afters but a coffee and mint. Very nice.
When the bill was presented we all kept our eyes down and Mr. E. copped it.

I sometimes have egg'n'chips down the local, but it's not the same. (Round these parts you'll see the yokels putting tomato, or even brown, sauce on fried eggs! I mean! . . . . .)
