Well that popped his pompous balloon! Interesting comments afterwards on that - claims of it being fake etc or from an advert - but also from a Mercedes owner who reckons the devices are that sensitive! Though they'd be going off every five minutes one would think.

Thanks for that, Sesley. Fell off me chair laughing.
But it hardly seems believable inless there was a fault in the car. If my (VW) air-bag did that every time somebody -- or even I -- parked too close, it would be going off every week.

Neither can I understand why the old biddy would want to hit the car. Okay, it was a little on a (very wide) crossing, but seems to have stopped before the woman began walking.

Oh that was so funny! Serves the horrible bloke right. The video was being taken of the two guys on skateboards. If you listen, you can hear a car braking sharply (obviously the tosser didn't see the little old lady until he was almost on top of the zebra crossing), which is what made the person with the video turn it around.
No, I don't think it's a fake.
Good for the little old lady. I rather think I'd have wanted to punch the driver on the nose. What a creep.

Yeah, I've been googling this and it looks like it might be a fake. Damn. On the other hand, I've found some great Ikea banned adverts.

Doesn't he beep her because she hasn't noticed he's stopped? Isn't that what annoys her?

That's what I thought Jean. And the fact that the boys on their skateboards are being videoed made me think that this was just caught by chance.

Ah yes, the sound effects make all the difference. I was watching it in silent mode before.

(But let's have a little less of this old biddy, little old lady nonsense, OK?)

Depends to whom we are referring! A bit convoluted that, alan. 'Depends on who we're referring to' is much better, more natural English.
