Interesting Pub Names

There's a working men's club near my mother's (an ex-mining area: so there's a fair bit of emphysema around) called The Spit and Whisper.

My poor old dad died of emphysema - he'd had it for years. What an appropriate name for the pub, though. My dad was a smoker, which was what caused his, although he always maintained it was due to working with dangerous stuff like asbestos when he was a docker.

Yes, possibly, although smoking Players untipped since he was 18 probably didn't help.
