You move down one level of civilisation when you go to a new planet. We need a lot of time - hundreds, thousands, of years. But there is a point. Our descendants will thank us for it (they will not thank us for anything else. I don't care about my descendants; they never phone unless they want money. (The Fall - a song for every occasion.)

There is a point. We have to colonise hundreds of planets. Terraforming first, then moving in. You move down one level of civilisation when you go to a new planet. Did anyone here know that Isla, She Wolf of the SS was filmed on the sets of Hogan's Heroes?[/color] Does anyone know that in the film "Gone With The Wind", the burning of Atlanta was really the MGM studio's way of getting rid of the "King Kong" sets? Does anyone care? Probably not.

It is interesting, but so is my post about Isla, damn you all. One of the most notorious exploitation movies, filmed on the set of one of the best loved sit coms?
A lot of Roger Corman films were filmed on the sets of more prestigious films - he usually had a couple of days before it was used again, so he made something up (usually out of Poe).

We had to go down into the storm cellar when there was a tornado warning on the TV. The tornado went elsewhere. (He kept a fridge full of beer down there, in case of emergencies.)

(The Fall - a song for every occasion.) How many songs do you think the Fall have ever recorded?

Humans should never have gone to space. We should have left it alone. It serves no purpose. Cobblers. I shall leave you to the Wrath of Alph. Let her be ignorant, when we all all partying in the SPACEFUTURE, she'll be sorry! Or you could just tell her that space exploration brings the price of wine and spirits down to affordable levels...she'll soon change her tune. AH
