I vote for the plan that involves me hanging around the docks being kerb crawled by a man with a keg of beer and dubious intentions.
Obv.

Leeds is ..er.. -- I have to be careful on account of Aub -- not Blackpool. But it is logistically pretty central. However, since you have now cast your vote, which is officially (according to the European Convention on Human Rights) the Casting Vote, it now HAS to be Blackpool. Or -- technically speaking (Article 29f) -- The Fox Inn in Oswestry.

Leeds is not on the West coast main line (for trains.)
I don't even think it's on the East coast mainline.
Blackpool has the advantage of being easy to get to by train (change at Preston).
Either that, or somewhere reachable from London.
Someone do a poll . . .

Although, Glasgow is also pretty easy to reach from a wide range of places and has much to offer the casual visitor . . .

First of all, we should work out who is provisionally going to attend any meet - and then arrange the place to suit the majority.
Weyland, I know you're up for it.
I'm a definitely maybe. Maybe maybe not. But in the game anyway.
Declare yourselves people!!!

I just don't know, Riot. My life is so busy and complicated right now it's hard to know when I'll be available for chat.
If I was probably around 8 or 9 would be the most likely time that I MIGHT be able to make it!

Can we allow 8 or 9 year olds to attend?

Priceless!! nearest station 'GOBOWEN' I already have my coat..Dream on, BonBon. That railway company bit the dust yesterday. Not making this up. Long story short, Virgin Trains (taxpayer subsidy £1,300,000,000) wouldn't allow Wrexham & Shropshire Railway Company (subsidy £0.00) to stop at principal stations such as Wolverhampton, Birmingham, and Coventry. (They can do that because of the way the railways were originally donated to Branson and co.) "In the most recent National Passenger Survey by Passenger Focus, the independent rail watchdog, Wrexham & Shropshire has come top in the country, with a 99% satisfaction rating - the highest rating in the survey's history."Not that I'm bitter. Talking of bitter, it's a good pub.

[you don't get hips like these on Babycham...] go on..tease me, tease me... OK, Bonnie. The beer in Leeds is as close to banker urine as you'll get north of the Humber. (I worked there for six months.) On the other hand, Riot, it's pretty well served by rail from centres of civilisation such as Newcastle and, ..er.., Gateshead. Also Manchester, Birmingham, and London, so I'm told. Unless Virgin Trains gets those companies closed down, of course.

(I'll pick you up at the Pier Head in Liverpool, Trubs.] There's no need to go anywhere else, is there? Well, is there? I can relate to that*. Anyone else fancy Liverpool for the Meet? Any particular watering-holes in mind, Jean? ________ * It's not much more than an hour's drive in the WeyMobile.
