Driving home from Romford the other day, I played the CD that Weyland very kindly gave me when we all met up at The Three Stags last year. Ever since then, I've had this earworm: But isn't it just one of the best rock and roll records ever? It really makes me want to get up and jive. Looking on Youtube, Sid Vicious did a cover, which wasn't that bad.

In the interests of punk accuracy, 'Something Else' is formally attributed to the Sex Pistols as a whole, not just Sid. And it was a big hit single for them. Good version 'though, and for once Sid's vocals were not excruciatingly bad.

Did you play the Youtube Sid Vicious version? It made me feel a bit queasy looking at Sid in his underpants, but I was pleasantly surprised at his voice, which sounded a tad like Eddie Cochran's (although not as good of course).

It's a scene from the film 'The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle'. Quite an interesting film in many ways.
