Having said this, I'm just about to go for a mammogram. I'll tell you all about it when I get back. Well, not the men, obviously. They'd probably faint. Let us be the judges of that. And don't forget PhotoFit.

JEAN! I'm sorry, it was probably me that did it. I can't help it you see. Anyway, please please tell us about your op. I do want to know. Don't miss anything out. I like lots of details. Not ALL the details please Jean! What you choose to send Eve in a PM is your affair, of course. However, I'd be interested to know how you coped without a general anaesthetic. I'm not sure that would be my choice.

The most alarming thing about the epidural is when everything goes completely numb, and you're afraid the feeling might never come back. They did sedate me as well, so I was hardly aware of what was going on - I might as well have been asleep. But you recover more quickly, apparently. My sister, who had an epidural without sedation, was aware of them sawing her bones, but she didn't care. I was in recovery for about an hour before they took me back to the ward my private room.

Sedation, yes that's good. Epidurals have always worried me a bit because of what you said. That not being able to feel, not sure I'd like that.
