www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-15391515Some dubious counting tells me that: When you were born, you were the: 3,650,729,824th person alive on Earth 77,759,113,841st person to have lived since history beganAlso, quite interestingly, in Ireland: Every hour, there are: 8 Births, 3 Deaths, & +2 Immigrants(Just for ambience:) Bloody Immigrants!! The average life expectancy in Ireland is 79.7 long horrid maudlin years - in the Central African Republic (where?) it's not quite 46.

I feel no guilt about my place on this earth, by the way. Nor for my daughter's. We each did a straight swap. My great grandmother died when I was one year old, and I was the only great grandchild, so one in one out. And my daughter's great grandfather died a fortnight before she was born (to the hour) so another one in one out. The rest of you are all probably taking up precious space though so shame on you.

It's the .2 of a child that has me worried.

I call it recycling.

See? If only other people would behave like Stub Crouchers then there wouldn't be a population problem.

My Dad's Dad died just a few months after I was born - his birthday itself was a week before mine! Winston Churchill died just before my brother, but I don't think that counts somehow. There's a Big Finish Doctor Who story about something similar - called "Bedtime Story".

All my parents and grandparents are dead...I have 4 children. I call it recycling. Ditto ancestors; two offspring, and neither is showing any sign of breeding in the near future. So the world owes me a living. I call it natural justice. I'm glad that's sorted.

Oh my god. I just googled "who died on 9th March 1950?" (the day I was born) and it came back with Timothy Evans, who was hanged for the murder of his wife (except that John Christie - he of 10 Rillington Place, the movie starring Richard Attenborough - did it).
Poor guy. I feel sort of responsible. Well, either me or Richard Attenborough.

As I've frequently said, most social ills can be cured by rooftop snipers.
Bio engineered super flu is also a good shout. As is zombiegeddon.

Apparently, Mrs Olive Earnshaw...survivor of the Titanic [Boat 7] died of cancer aged 69 as I struggled my way into the world... Do you think there's a resemblance?

Maybe if we banned breeding for a year to build up the food stocks and pension funds..... .....anyone got a calculator? I'd like to ban breeding in the spring. All my friends and relations seem to have birthdays in December and January. It is hard enough to think up Christmas presents.

Well thought out Housey...I am due to be mugged tomorrow by my younger Grandson for his Birthday....his Mother will do the same in 3 weeks and then Dec 20th younger Granddaughter, followed by her elder sister 2 weeks later. On top of this there's Christmas..... I think I shall just leave home it'll be cheaper... [ but on the bright side, there's my wedding anniversary and my husband's birthday in November which I don't have to worry about any more!]

My twin grandchildren's birthday is in December. My nan's birthday was 23rd December and she would have been 112 this year. What a bummer, being born just 8 days short of the 20th century. Even worse, my nephew was born just a few weeks short of the new millenium. Mind you, if my nan had lived past her 100th birthday, she could have been said to have lived in three different centuries.

My Grandfather and Grandmother on my my mum's side...pic taken in 1929 or thereabouts. My Grandfather was only about 19 or 20 (looks older) Grandmum is about the same. She died very suddenly in 1973...diabetic...had massive heart attack. Grandfather lived to the ripe old age of 96. But he never fully got over her death. She was his world. However when that photo was snapped they had apparently ( I recall Grandad saying) just had a big row.
