It would have been better if the dog had caught one of the deer by the throat and ripped it to death in front of the camera. That would have improved the clip.

Not for competition - ha! I bet that was something he only introduced when he saw how well your dog had done. I love the way that dogs don't really understand this kind of thing, but they still love it (or maybe it's us who don't understand it). I'm going back to London in a bit, not looking forward to it - the journey I mean. I should be home in about 6 hours. It seems an awfully long time. Sunday travel? Oh dear; the trains can be dire, and it is a long journey especially if you are not in peak health. I will hope for no delays and wish you a safe journey.

I was quite amazed, though, that the dog, which was a lot smaller than any of the deer, had the power to scare them like that. You hear about deer attacking people (although I suppose that's only in the rutting season, come to think of it)

I'm home now, trying to get used to a more responsive mouse. It was not a bad journey (no real delays), but still tiring. Left at 11.40, and got back here at 5.15.

Fenton is a great name for a dog, though.

It would be reasonably easy to stage a clip and make quite a few quids. I mean it really would. Just a few original ideas required and a camcorder. The 'fenton' clip is now valued at around £100,000. How's about Everso chasing a herd of men?
