So different from nowadays, when Saturday night means Dr Who, Match of the Day and Strictly Come Dancing.

Being under 5 years of age back in 77, I don't really remember much that was regularly on TV...these fings stand out though... I know, 1978, but sod it...best sci fi series of it's time. California Highway Patrol = Legends! You won't like me when I'm angry... Steve Fucking Austin bitches! ;D 1974 Torino FTW!!! Oh, and this garbage...all about lesbians who live on a island full of other lesbians or something...hardly going to catch the imagination of a little boy is it? AH

And on reflection, just how cool was Steve Austin?
He was an astronaut, bionic, got to do loads of cool spy stuff, got into fights with Bigfoot, Russian death probes, evil robots and all sorts of other baddies and to top it all off, he could wear a safari suit and still look cool as fuck (whilst most normal blokes would look like a complete fucking tool).
It's obscene when you think about...

Worried last week that they'd stopped doing the weekly ToTP - Seeing that '77 was quite a transition year in Pop - Not 'arf!
It's back this week though, 7:30 BBC4
Mind you, keep forgetting it's on anyway.

Of course, 1977 means just one year to go until 1978! Funny that.....

I only remember watching Wonder Woman and Star Trek.
Oh the Muppets! Yes. Highlight of the week. Along with Grange Hill, natch. Tucker Jenkins. <3

Mork and Mindy.
That Mindy had the most amazing, oh, ok. I used to know a dog called Mindy. Really sweet little thing. She was kind of owned by the whole street, in and out of all the houses. Everyone loved her.
Was M&M 77 though, or later? (Note - 78. She still had an amazing, ok I promised my mother.

You see, if I was a dishonest fellow, I'd delete those last two posts.
(She did, though but.)

I've been looking for pictures, but I can't find any. She did look amazingly good from the back, though. But while looking, I've just discovered that she is married to Gibbs, out of NCIS. This is amazing.

I think Grange Hill was '78 too. And that crackerjack clip says '75. I guess that sticking on topic was never a Stub Crouch trait. Let's have some rentaghost.

Let's have some rentaghost. I live to serve... Qulity theme tune. This is just incredible, hypnotic and spooky always a winner for me. And just because... And anyway, why is Trubb so obsessed with 1977 all of a sudden? AH

I think it's because TOTPs has got to 77 in its showing of old episodes.

I forgot about Picture Box. We used to watch it in school. It was actual work. How weird.

Not keen on Mike Leigh. He does not seem to have much liking for his characters.
