Lentil Dahl is very nice with Naan Bread .. make that too do you Weyland?
But you can't go wrong with lots of peppers and fresh coriander.
My favourite vegetarian recipe is for a Mango cocktail - you juice up a couple of mango, add some maple syrup, a cup of fresh lime juice, add a half bottle of vodka, blend the lot and top up with fizzy white wine or champagne.

Macca bloody roons. A load of rubbish. You can't beat a jam doughnut.

Actually I love them, although they obviously got onto the wrong thread.
I have not forgotten your kind suggestions. I am ingesting them slowly.

I pushed my anxiieties about this to the back of my mind for a few weeks. But she's coming on Thursday.
It's complicated by the fact that she's coming for the Green Party conference which I'll be going to as well, so I won't have time to slave over a hot stove all weekend.
I'm going to make a large pan of dahl with sweet potato and spinach, and I will have some soup. And I will make bread or buy some from the German bakery. And hummus. I shall have to ask her if she likes that revolting soya cheese.
We are going one evening to a local Thai restaurant which assures me they have vegan things.
Wish me luck!

Oh good luck: and just be grateful it isn't 30 years ago, when veggies in restaurants always got an omelette, probably cooked in lard. I don't think anyone back then would have known what vegan even meant (though there's have been more chance of it in a Thai or Indian place than anywhere else).

There used to be a vegetarian restaurant near St. Paul's Cathedral in London back in the early 70s. Too bad if you lived anywhere else though.

There was Cranks in Soho even in the 1960s. I used to love their salads. And Food for Thought in Covent Garden since the 70s at least.
But vegetarian restaurants always closed very early in the evenings. Often they still do.
Why is this?
