Is Mouse still there? I can't post on any board where she rants, which is any board she ever touches. Sorry. Just the way it is. Mouse is not a member and can't remember her ever being one

If you put tea in the microwave with the milk in - I believe it breaks down the fat molecules. Not to the extent of taking the fat away, obviously not - but simply to make the tea taste thinner.

I did think it didn't seem right.
Maybe before you put the milk in, though?
(I used to drink tea nearly cold; now I have it as hot as I can get it.)

"Colne Mill - at the end of the M62" That can't be right - one end of the M62 is Liverpool and the other end is Hull.

Mouse is not a member and can't remember her ever being one Looks like Toby is, though. Worse than mouse, IMO.

Work of the Devil. I know George Orwell and Ev would agree. Good for melting chocolate though. I made some long promised "White Chocolate Tiffin" the other week 200g of Chocolate over Crushed Digestives, mixed fruit, golden syrup, butter and plain unsalted peanuts. Some Glacé Cherries in there too but didn't need them as the mixed fruit already had them in (didn't look like it from the outside of the packet mind). Jolly scrummy though.

Anyone ever had a "Proper Copper Coffee Pot?"
As in; "Hot coffee from a proper copper coffee pot!"
Anyone ever seen one even??

Didn't know there were such things (as different from any other kind of pot anyway)
There used to be a cafe in Gainsborough called The Copper Kettle. There was supposed to be a gang based there called the Copper Kettle Mob - maybe they were like Alex's droogs (in their heads). Sitting about drinking tea all day.
Actually, that sounds like my kind of gang.

Must be a trigger that Patrick is sending out to one of the Stubbers to do something a la Manchurian Candidate - probably something fiendish connected to tea cosies. Is anyone feeling a bit odd? I mean odder than usual? Is anyone wearing their trousers back to front? Or dunking a custard cream in someone else's cup of tea? Hm? I'm worried for us!

Talking of Peters, anyone in touch with Peter Fluck? I wonder how he's doing since I stopped kicking his arse on a regular basis (on account of my flouncing long ago -- wasn't his fault). I believe he is the peterf on the Harbour, isn't he? In which case he seems very well and I am sure he would appreciate you visiting him there.

I don't think it tastes right if made in a cup, partly because it forces you to put the milk in last. And I always want more than one cup. My cosies seem to work well enough. Mind you, I've seen people pouring hot water onto a teabag sitting in milk. They should be transported to somewhere where there is no tea worthy of the name, such as the USA. Proper tea is made in a teapot Not by pouring boiling water over a tea bag in a cup , or dipping the tea bag in it WHAT? Have you come here for a fight Peter? You come here, insulting those of us who pour boiling water over a tea bag in a cup, saying it's not "proper". Tsk! This is a local board for local people you know. ;D

My dearest Peter, I believe Free Speech needs a makeover....only kidding. Surprised it still exists but good to revisit an old friend.
