Caramba! There's nobody there.
The sausage rolls are getting cold, the Tizer's gone flat and I've eaten the last bit of Mr. E's birthday cake.

I promise I won't make it like last week when I end up awake all night and bloody miserable by the end of it though. (Just a good job I got up before everyone else and deleted the Chris like posts I posted! )

Oh dear. One of those pre-party moments where everyone shuffles round the nibbles, trying to think of something to say!

Well! I have to say the rest of you are wimps! The party carried on for hours, and you missed so much gossip you wouldn't believe!

I know all the gossip anyway Pats: I invent most of it.
I work hard all week, up at 7 am, and I'm NOT a morning person (with the result that come 10pm at night, when I should be going to bed, I'm full of beans and doing all kinds of unnecessary recreational things until midnight).
Sometimes a grrl needs an early night! (Wasn't it still 1 am or something when I left?)
I'm watching Jacob Zuma's inauguration. We didn't have a thread for him, but Obama gets pages and pages. Is this racism . . oh, hold on.
Anyway, they've had to put up some traditionally dressed Zulu guy to make some Zulu speech or poem or something. I'm a bit embarassed for them.

Jacob Zuma - the new Mugabe . I've been thinking exactly the same thing. Like I said with that Obama fellow - let's wait and see The new Russian President has pretty much cut off Putin's influence of him, and is going down a more liberal route at the moment. We all expected him to be another Putin clone because he fibbed about supporting the bugger (he's still Russian PM though)

Jacob Zuma - the new Mugabe . I've been thinking exactly the same thing. I've been remembering the excitement and hope of Mandela's election, and wondering where it all went wrong for S.A.
