As you mention double acts... I've been wondering why there isn't a statue of both Morcky and Wise together? (Or is there one?) They were such a team, unbreakable, it seems cruel to have them apart. I'll dig out the article in the local paper. One of the ideas is to have Ernie in flat cap and mac standing looking up at Eric from the Promenade - in the way that used to happen at the end of the show. It's worth pointing out that even Ernies home town of Leeds hasn't honoured him. Yet.

A statue of them together would be really nice, and fitting, wouldn't it. I love Morecambe and Wise, but I hate that clips programme that seems to be on more than proper episodes. The one were 'celebs' (please don't hurt me) talk about why it's funny, or why they like it.
The Christmas specials were always a must see in our house.
