Indeed...the sofa was closed because...because... because (finish the song) Not sure if this will fit the tune 'The BBC decided it didn't want to host general discussion boards on its website...'

I am reasonably well acquainted with a chaise longue that gets hauled from chat room to chat room and you do not wish to know the sordid stories of that chaise, believe me. Luckily its owner, the Rt Hon Mrs Everso, is a lady and will never write a kiss and tell. I never knew the Virtual Sofa. It sounds a lesser piece of furniture. Boys, is this a conversation that is going over old ground, old hurt and old people? If so, we are against abuse of the elderly here and there is a wonderful place called the Other Boards which loves it. Could it continue there instead? Cheers.

I have no desire to go over old ground it is tiresomely dull.
However I do feel that what happened the other day is a typical of a certain group of people...arriving mob handed...together...looking for a fight!
It's what they do...how they operate...they did the same on the MCL, and they bullied their way around the Virtual Sofa as if they owned it!
They have their own place...THE VK...which by all accounts is vibrant and bustling...so why come here?
Of course they arrived in usual mob fashion because I made some underhand comments about them.
A- typical behaviour.

A group did indeed arrive here following those comments, looking for a fight or looking to clear their name, whichever... Either way, no one here is very interested. We should all respect Patrick's wishes to keep anything non-fluffy off the board. There is no excuse for continuing it here when there are at least three other boards that can happily accomodate such discussions. I am speaking with my moderator hat on now. Take it elsewhere. Or perhaps just drop it. We at Stub Crouch are all about the love. And the fluffy.

And the fluffy.I have already voiced my concerns to the admin. And those concerns will remain. I also take full responsibility for some of the slightly unfluffy nature of certain posts over the last 48 hours. But my concerns are I believe justified. History dictates such.

OH FFS Stop whining.
It seems that in this 'dispute' nobody can do right for doing wrong.
It's as manufactured as Girls Aloud and just about as boring.

There are a lot of knickers getting all in a twist.
I dread to think of the wedgies involved.

Twisted Knickers - now there's a name for a girl band. Seriously though - Well done Trubs and Riot. See me afterwards I think folk can feel the vibe here - and it's not a heavy one - I hope our newcomers can smell the faint whiff of Paxo in the air and surmise the good karma that abounds. No-one should feel the need to poke any embers - there are other places for that as Trubs says. The sun is rising, the earth is getting warmer there's no need for fires anymore! ..........and I think my head has just exploded. Spread that Stubby Love!

Don't you absolutely hate it when the Mods lock a thread, and then they keep posting on it (because they can) and nobody else can post on it?
I do.

Now you've made me feel like the number of times I've had to get closer to a sign to see what it says - only to find out it says "Keep Off The Grass" that I'd just walked across to look at the sign!
