Probably happens.

I have to admit that any gay person I've known at all well was gay because they just were. I can think of a couple of guys I know who didn't come out until they were in their twenties and were fighting off the women. I fancied them for a start.

But I wasn't the one they were fighting off, I hasten to add.

Well, maybe one of them.

When you reverse the situation and imagine spending your whole teens fighting off lusty fervent same-sex admirers ... lol -doesn't bear thinking about. It must have been horrible for them really.
