Also, microwaves create bands of heat in the oven. The ants would just run to the cool spots. Even with a turntable it would be difficult as the ants would just run around keeping in the cool areas.

Which programme was it that had the producer walking out groaning! Ants! Cool Spots. Bloody clever mind! I'm going to have to try that this Summer! What d'you reckon? Line of Jam leading from the kitchen door - up the cupboards and in - or is that just a recipe for wasp heaven? Actually - that's not such a bad idea either!

Do you want to know how to use your microwave to calculate the speed of light?

No.
But if you have any tips on how to use it to beam people from place to place I'd appreciate that.

Well, judging soley on the number of cars that pulled out in front of me, pedestrians wandering aimlessly in my path and suicidal pheasants, I'd say it works!

I burnt a pudding (Aunt Bessies, serves me right ) in our microwave, now every now and again when we use it it knocks all the electricity off. What did I do? Is it new microwave time? I only bought it last May.

Have a small saucer with water in it. Put ant on water. Put glass over ant. Put in microwave and boil to taste
