I'm off shortly to the dentist for some root canal treatment. Damn - I'm not usually very much moved by a visit to my Mr. Patel, but I'm slightly on edge, wondering how I'm going to keep my mouth open for such a long while. And trying to swallow with all that gear in your mouth Pray for me.

You're not really a woman are you Everso? Bollocks! Think of me at 3 o'clock when Mr. Patel gets going with his drill.

We've been put off dentists for a very long time - the one we see is 300 odd miles away 'cos we like her and we daren't trust another!

I'm a little bit frightened because my child hasn't checked in with me since yesterday lunchtime and of course she is ok and I know she is just out having fun and I knew she wasn't coming home last night but I asked her to let me know she was alive so I wouldn't worry.
And there is no answer from her phone or her friend's. No surprise, there never is. A phone is something to lose in the bottom of your bag and forget you have. I know this because I taught her the method by bad example.
And she is 17. An adult.
So.. I am just being a worrying mum.
But I HATE this.

To try and keep your mind off such things, try and pop this bugger's balloon as he floats over a smiley-eating black dot:

Chap in the post room at the Civil Service office I worked in used to say that. It wasn't long before I started using it. Funny old infectious saying, that is.

Dentists terrify me. I reluctantly go for a check up but if they so much as hint that something needs attention I go to pieces.
Can't help it, always been the same.

Text Received. Panic Over. Thank you for sorting it! Good news! Thanks . Would be even better news if I could stop worrying over nothing. The happy place thing in the dentist's chair worked for me once. I couldn't believe the power of my mind that time. Of course the drugs were helpful too.

My Dentist was doing a filling once, and I almost dozed off! Now that's what I call a great dentist!
