Well, avoid fellas with that complaint, even if it's a rumour.

Stop being a tight wad and buy a decent knife-I like Globals but there are others
Flavoursome varieties??-so many I could mention ,Black Russian,Black from Tula,Brandywine,Prudens Purple,Sweet one million,.Sungold---it goes on-but I will not grow effing Money maker-it`s CRAP

Goodness, Stephan, you haven't fallen for Gardener's Delight? We grow them and they also answer the conundrum of "how to dtop the juice going everywhere" because you treat them like sweeties.
I planted Gardener's Delight as usual and also a hanging basket variety called Gartenperle and unfortunately lost the labels from the seed trays so I can't tell which is which.

Just slice them on to a plate, drizzle with a good oil and douse in black pepper.[maybe a little garlic...] Lumps of mozzarella over the top, grill for a minute and put a tea towel round your neck before eating.
Bread optional.

Don't forget the basil! Just a little, now, don't overdo it.

Housesparrow-I only mentioned a few of my favourites-and yes GD is there as well.
I grow/sell tomato plants so couldn`t possibly mention all the varieties I have grown.
Not sure about garden pearl though-it`s hardy and a good enough cropper but I`ve dropped it from my list-just doesn`t have the flavour to make it

Bread optional. I have a pasta recipe where you grill half tomatoes drizzled in oil with lumps of garlic tossed in the pan plus sprigs of rosemary. You then go through the complicated task of peeling the bloody things and chopping up roughly then serve with the chilled butterfly pasta. The temptation to open a tin of chopped and adding a little olive oil flavoured with rosemary is strong! Once you've burned your fingers once too often trying to peel the grilled ones.

According to the seed packet it is an early cropper, so I am assuming that it is the one now flowering. If I have got it wrong, we will have top heavy Gardeners Delight crashing down upon our heads.
