Or a fried cheese sandwich - mmmmmm. Very low in cholesterol and calories too. Deep fried perchance? No, no! Do you think I'm MAD?? No, you make the cheese sandwich without butter, then (as if you're making french toast) you dip the sandwich in beaten egg until it's soaked into the bread, then fry it gently in a little oil. Damn good. And very slimming.

It doesn't sound very slimming.
Does sound a bit tasty though...may have to give it a try...

Wensleydale from certain places in Yorkshire is dead good (I've had it from posh Sainsbury's in London and been very disappointed).

It's best from Wensleydale! I believe that was the first place in England where they started to fight back against the big creameries taking over the names of regional cheeses and producing something bland under the olsd name. It predates the renaissance in small-scale cheesemaking by quite a bit. www.wensleydale.co.uk/I bought some near Richmond only the other week.

My brother got some from - not sure where, North Yorks somewhere - on the way back from RHB a few weeks back - and saved some for me, bless him. It is almost spreadable.
I did not know about them being the first, though. Thanks.
