There's no problem adding in smileys but I've got to know which ones. Which clappy...which rofl...etc... Do you want matching ones (a la JSG), random ones (a la Harbour), a drop down smiley box (a la Madrigal),... What Do You Want???!!!! (a l'Orchard). Of course I could just use my own judgement.

Ah! but I'm not the one who wants all the smileys!? ;D I could add them tomorrow - Though it's how to make the extra spaces (Second line) I don't know about that's all. ..........Can't be arsed really. Anyway! There's nothing to be scared of? Nasty things don't happen in this Fluffy eiderdown of loveliness! I had a funny dream t'other night y'know - I went down this escalator and came out in the King's Chapel at Hampton Court where I sat down to crackers and nibbles with a load of Tibetan Monks.

Trubble and Riot. I am not voting for either of you on the grounds that if you want this horrible job you must be nuts. I don't want to be a Mod! You must vote for Trubble to avoid that happening! Mind you . . modding on this board probably wouldn't be too onerous, but you never know when all out war can break out anywhere on MB-land, especially when you have wild cards like Alpha and Trubble around stirring up arguments.

Exactement! There's only one Trubble on this board and only one Riot to break out - and that's all we need!

A vote for Riot would mean a stale mate and that no one was elected and I urge you to consider such tactical voting in order to save both the board and the women involved.

It is a century or so since I was invited to save women; we used to drag them off the streets and teach them how to sew in gloomily lit factories. Then, when their eyesight failed, they weren't so picky when they went back to their old careers. What is it you were saying?

I've been quite well behaved on this board actually...thanks for pointing out the discrepancy, I shall endeavor to be more troublesome in the future. AH

Have you got a problem with transgender people, Housesparrow? Not really, provided they don't try to use the washbasin in the ladies' as a urinal.

I believe I'm 'male' on JSG too.
I recently adopted a policy of answering 'male' every time software on MBs tried to push me on the question of my gender. It's nobodys goddamn business what gender a poster is. There are too many daft old men out there who, on seeing a new poster who is 'female', start with the 'let's meet up' PMs . . . time to confuse the dirty old sods!

We might have shot ourselves in the foot. Proboards ads might be gender directed. More males like us will mean more ads about how to get a beautiful bride from Russia.

I'd like a beatiful bride from Russia, because then I could prostitute her out (and where's the shame in that - it's a legitimate career?) and make some dosh.

If she was built like a steamship and could tackle the jungle of our back garden, I wouldn't say no to a Russian bride either.
As for ads - years ago work gave us all e-mail addresses with our first names and surnames and let us loose on the internet. We didn't have a home computer so I was totally green. (In those days I did hoovering and dusting and sometimes even gardening.)
Before we were all let loose, we were issued with dire warning about not using the internet for any personal use. Our screens were to be monitored internally, and public humiliation would follow if there was the merest suggestion we might be trying to access a sex site.
The first day I went onto the internet to look at a map, an advert for a women's soft porn mag popped up with a picture of a semi-clad man. I couldn't get rid of it and in the end I just closed down the net, never to re-open it again at work.
Sometimes I wish I had stuck to that rule at home.
