 i'm going to have a go at it too. about to poach halved pears in red wine, a little water, a little sugar, a piece of stick cinnamon, and a little grated lemon peel. probably for an hour or so until its reduced and syrupy. i got them today for next to nothing in the tesco's bargain basement.
