Not so good here in the Sunny South. Brightened up about 4 O'clock, blue sky and sun and at one stage rather warm 30degrees. Unfortunately, my grandson had been playing with the central heating controls. Clouding over now ready for our latest down pour.

Up on the Northern Front you're supposed to have had better weather than the lot of us haven't you? I beginning to feel Seasonally Disordered already! I mean parts of 2004 were a bit wet and miserable, but we had more evenings sitting out with a bottle of wine of an evening than before! Never mind - it'll soon be the Spring like weather of Autumn! Watching the forecast over the last few years we seem to fall (the planet?) back into the slipstream of the High Pressure areas in Spring and Autumn these days. Time to re-name the seasons! - I'm up for "Sprummer and Wintum" - Anyone?

My spring bulbs seem to be coming up. Other people actually have them in flower!

In the past two or three years it's been so dull when you least expect it, and sunny where you don't, I suppose it's no wonder plants don't know if they're coming or going! This year the cherry blossom had come and gone in about a week - yet last year - when it "felt" colder for a lot longer during February, March and April - it was around for a couple of weeks! Overall though, it has been so dark and dismal, I'm surprised that anything wants to stick it's head above the soil!

You can really feel it is autumn now can't you, especially early in the mornings.

Well, here in the Armpit of Britain, it's been Autumn for most of August! I notice the trees aren't turning quite yet (Used to be mid September in the chilly East Midlands) but the leaves are a-dropping!

Still, my flower beds are getting weeded, which is something I couldn't do when the ground was so dry. And I planted out a couple of perennials, safe in the knowledge that if I fogot to water them it wouldn't really mtter.
