Rob, if you didn't get a birthday present, it's my fault.
I told Karen that if you didn't need anything and you didn't want anything she should just not get you anything.
She told me I sounded like you! (I was insulted.)
I doubt Rob celebrates anything as mundane and illogical as birthdays. He'll spend the day doing hard sums in his study and maybe eat some extra chocolate to mark the day.
(Actually, as we all know, he's spending the day watching cars go vroom vroom vroom round a bit of waste ground.)
Rob, I hope you had a lovely time. And I do hope to catch up with you in the chatroom soon. We have had the 'best' weekend we've had for 5 or 6 weeks here, so maybe there is a faint hope of normality somewhere on the horizon.

Many thanks all Apart from the fact I spent about 5 hours driving today (to and from silverstone) I had a great day and got some great gifts even though I didnt think I wanted anything! |
