How funny! These Year of Culture things are crap. We had one in Glasgow once. By all accounts it was very successful and rebranded us totally in the eyes of the world and all that.
Mind you ,they said that about the Garden Festival before it, and now they're saying the Commonwealth Games will do it . . . so not sure why we need the Commonwealth Games if the 'Year of Culture' was such a resounding and long-lasting success?
Still, these things brighten up the day for office-monkeys and are, therefore, to be welcomed. Whether they're art or not I would not know.
