Just to let people know here I'm closing the MO on Sunday, September 27th. It has died, as saddened as I am.
Pat has done a marvellous job here, and I believe this place together with MCL etc' is more than adequate.
The MO just doesn't fit anymore.
I am starting a new place...not with proboards...which will be a smaller board...just two discussion forums...easy to run and hopefully no hassle.
I can then come and go as I please without any theatrics.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the MO over the last 18 months.

Well Gosh! CM! Ups and downs y'know! Ups and downs! The MO would probably trundle on quite happily - It's not exactly busy here - but then again any bit of "busy-ness" is a bonus. I haven't been contributing myself (here) with things going on either (though I did start a thread on your side t'other day - or did I dream that?)  I shall drink a toast nevertheless. Perhaps you'll change your mind by Sunday. |

well i will miss all those loverly apples, you could have made some cider in that orchard. life and circumstances do change,i have been using another board a lot,the Orchard has been very quiet, i tried to introduce different,subjects, some successful others not,it depends what people find interesting. Patrick have you room on your couch for more refugese? since the demise of radio 2 boards i have been with the Orchard and have notices a lot of absent posters since then. People do move on i suppose, anyway hope things get better for you again Chris.

Room for anyone Sesley. Pass it on! I can't do apples though there is a blinding new colour for the board that you might like to check out called "Minty" but it needs a bit of work! That's Apple-ey!
How rotten of the Beeb to keep closing these boards down. I think actually the Government has lent on them for "Diversifying" too much and they've been told to concentrate on programme making.

The closure of the 5Live boards has led to an influx of new blood on The Harbour. Plus a big Crime Debate board has shut, leading to an influx of new blood on to Bit of This, Bit of That.
Here we see the free market at work in its finest form . . .
