And the Paddies probably neck a few gallons of Guinness every day...don't know about the Welsh, they probably drink coal juice or something... AH i think you will find the Irish are a bit more refind than just drink guinness ,which i will say tastes more creamy and nicer form the pumps rather than tins. I have known Irish drink spirits and any other trendy drink , and sing wonderlly when they are stooshered

I was once just outside Nottingham and I came upon this pub that had some special offer on - they were giving away Guinness!!!! It was nicely chilled and just right - went down a treat. Pity all pubs can't learn how to serve it properly. Similar thing happened in Guildford once, Not the giving away bit - but friend of mine and I got through five pints of the stuff each - only because it was served at the right temp. Nothing worse than a warm and syruppy Guinness.
Saying that though - Mackesons has a softer flavour.
Thinking of spirits though - aren't the Scandinavians quite big drinkers too?
