"tix tundred tousand pounds!!!" ;D I luv the oirish accent. AH Wasn't quite as funny when he went up to 'nine tundred tousand pounds'... but I love his passionate anger, if strangely directed at the show's host. I might have a go at Dimbleby if I can get the tickets... 'You complete snotty plum faced fat dickwit! Sat there pontificating earning tix (oh I'm not Irish) six hundred thousand pounds... ' Does Dimbleby earn tix...ermmm...six hundred grand?

You should all just move to Ireland. You like the rain, you like the accent, you like the feist, you like the drink. Come.

I couldn't get online the other day - rather, it went off - and when I phoned AOL (after trying the automatic reply advice - "Turn it off and turn it on again" - Christ, as if I hadn't already done that) the woman there called Maeve (they're all Irish at AOL), said that she couldn't help me just now. She sounded quite desolate. I asked if the problem could be AOL's, as it was once before, and whether it might just come back on. "It might," she said, which was a wonderful piece of advice, and one I really appreciated. It did come back on later, as well.

They're an optimistic lot, the Irish. Meh, Patrick, they are all big birthdays one way or another and I've had much bigger than this one.

I was left wondering if this chap would be bereft of speech if he lost the use of his right index finger.
He seemed a tad excited to say the least.
