Hullo new person called Biker. We have been having mixed results with our new persons lately. Philippa joined has been a bundle of chat and fun. On the other hand, Tarzan-pam has been playing charades with us and has stuck to the rules so strictly that she/he hasn't said a word. Like Lionel Blair, she/he's a professional. Luckily we like charades! Pam, is it ''Silent Night?'' So welcome Biker, welcome indeed stranger -- and how are you? What are your views on spacehoppers?

Eh? What? Have I got to get up and let someone in? I've just replaced me hot water bottle too.

Thank you, Ms Trubble. I seek sanctuary from The Harbour, which used to be good not so long ago, but is now heavily infested with semi-literate xenophobic gibbering loons and allied bigots. ("The Guardian is a Muslim newspaper." And that's just a mild sample.) Might I like it here?

We're good at Sanctuary! We're not fantastic on serious political stuff - though when we do it's been pretty intelligent stuff, and anyone who disagrees gets smothered in an overwhelming blanket of fluff.

Hi Biker
I think it's safe to say that most people here are MB-veterans, and all pretty tired of the old 'All Muslims must be sent home' stuff. There are more interesting if ephemeral issues in this world.
Welcome.

Hello Biker and welcome.
Stub Crouch is the virtual equivalent of a nice warm fluffy blanket being wrapped around you to keep out the cold.
Take it easy.
Me, I prefer scooters. ;D

Greetings Biker. This is, indeed, a sanctuary from those obsessed with the Muslimisation of Europe or those who declare the EU to be a new USSR.

Oh bugrit! is there really a charades thread? How come I've missed it? I'm interested too. And The Bedroom beckons. Any chance of getting the password, Riot? You know I'm one of the ultra respectable types. Oh yes you do. And any other StCr passwords going, if you please. I thank you. Which inevitably brings me to the €64,000 Question -- why "Stub Crouch"?

Ooh, the Righmove site is really interesting - my dog would love the lawn, just right for a hyperactive border collie! Perhaps we should make a pledge that if any of us win the lottery jackpot we will buy the place and host weekend parties for Stubbies. Weyland, I should have introduced myself earlier in the thread, but you may know me as Kittiwake from the Harbour. Welcome.

In my day the driveway was a third narrower than that and still big enough for three cars - why folk have to have such huge drives these days I'll never know. Used to be rose bushes down there too - The lilac tree in the middel there was planted by my Mum - and sad to see the pulled up a fabulous cooking apple tree in the back garden. They also did away with the well too. Phillistines!

No! With Weyland outside it, doh! You always were such a charmer, Trubble. I just hope you don't know how much emotional damage you're inflicting on a helpless old man.
