Those of you familiar with the BBC Mornington Crescent site may remember this game, which wasn't around last time I looked. This is a clue I posted on there some time ago. The person who gets it right is meant to set another, but it doesn't have to be in this format, and anyone can pop in a clue at any time.

Film, five words.
Nursing home matron: "Now then, Mr Johnston, what's that I've been hearing from my office? No - there's no point hiding your CD, you know I will find it. As I thought - Dolly Parton! A man of your age should know better. I shall confiscate this tape and put it with your picture of Tammy Wynette"
Mr Johnston: "It isn't fair, Matron. Old Tom Biggs has a poster of Katie Price in his room and that's all right. And Mrs Stubbins plays Hank Locklin in her room - she gets away with it!"
Matron: "You know the rules, Mr Johnston: I've explained them many times before. Now, how about playing your nice Mariah Carey album instead?"

I've something in the back of my mind saying "No Room in a Big Country" or some variation of that - a Google hasn't come up with anything. I'm still working on it.
Perhaps you should have done a "Hamish and Dougal" sketch. ;D

Yes I got country and old but got stuck - I was toying with Jordan - but now you say that... No Country For Old Men! It has to be. Nice One Housey! Excellent, in fact. I nominate Weyland to do the next one.

I GEDDIT!!!! Housey is very clever. I was sitting mystified for a few moments there trying to see how you got the 'no country' bit, but it's so obvious once you think about it.
I would have to think very hard and long before I could think up a clever clue like that one!!!

I know! It's proper brainy. Weyland's keeping us waiting. The torturer! I nominate Housey to test us again. Or whoever can get in first.

I nominate Weyland to do the next one. Er, what do I have to do? Does it involve special clothing? Does it matter if the chandeliers get stained?

OK, I'll do one.
Things were pretty grim at the calendar printing factory. Commissioned by Coca Cola to print a branded calendar, the factory had managed only nine of the twelve pages before it ran out of magenta ink.
"That's so odd" said Mr. Ryan the factory manager. "I'm sure we took a delivery of magenta ink just last week. Why is it not in the store cupboard?"
"I'll get a team together and we'll search from top to bottom to see if we can find it sir", said Mr. Ross, the Assistant manager.

Don't threaten me! . . . Oh, you're not.
I don't care what your religion is, I want those windows open now.

I hope someone gets this soon because I'm racking my brains to no effect!
A little clue might jog the cells - perhaps a rough idea of when the novel was written?

Weyland,
Is the 'Don't Threaten Me . . " bit part of the clue, or is that just you talking?

Weyland, Is the 'Don't Threaten Me . . " bit part of the clue, or is that just you talking? Oh, I see -- it's Bash Weyland Week. Again. But I shall carry on regardless. "Don't threaten me! . . . Oh, you're not." is part of the clue. For the first word of the answer, to be exact. But not in isolation from the rest of my spiel.
