Camus was still a cult writer when I was a student. Is 'The Outsider' the one set in Algeria where he kills the Arab? It is also the subject of a Cure song from their first album (back when they were good before they went Goth) called 'Killing an Arab'. Good book, good song. But the Cure have been a little unhappy in recent years when rednecks have tried to use 'Killing an Arab' as some kind of anti-Muslim anthem. Which it really isn't; it's about the Camus book.

It is also the subject of a Cure song from their first album (back when they were good before they went Goth) I had a great Cure album in 1980 or so -- Seventeen Seconds. Really good. My son has all the vinyl now. Maybe I should get it on a CD. They played a concert in a park in the Dutch town I lived in then, Apeldoorn, and we watched it live on TV in the back garden, and could hear the concert live from a mile away. Great experience. Great band, then.

TV Programme, 3 words.
There were five in Jock and Hamish's family. Two sisters younger than them - Kirsty and Virginiaplain, and the older brother, Big Rab, but you'll already know all about Big Rab. He's famous.

You what? You'll never get the vicar and that old Commie together - certainly not in that old thing - It'll all end in tears.
Too easy for those who know it.

Is it something like 'Enemy Car' or 'Opposites Bus'?
Does one word suggest the different belief systems, and the other a mode of transport?

Come on Patrick! Move us along a little.
When you say "tv film" do you mean a "made for TV film" or a film and a tv series?

The funny thing is, I'd not heard of Betty's suggestion - but the write up to that is very similar to this book. Except this book was set in Spain. It was then made into a TV Movie by Thames television in 1985 with some big classic actors in. It was only ever broadcast the once, and then on in the daytime. The DVD was only released a couple of years ago. Really shocking considering what a blockbuster it was. It just didn't have any explosions, special effects, horrific deaths or murderers in, so I suppose that didn't make it that popular. The book is equally good, and was one of the last written by one of our greatest writers.

Film. Two words.
She's an old bike, that one - simple and haggard and as demanding as a diva.
(Apologies if I haven't quite understood this game yet)
