One of the most moving documentaries I've ever seen...and it shows you how shallow and how quickly the celeb thing can dissolve.
Dudley here goes back to his roots and emerges a human being flaws and all.
It's quite fascinating.
On 30 September 1999, Moore announced that he was suffering from the terminal degenerative brain disorder progressive supranuclear palsy, some of whose early symptoms were so similar to intoxication that he had been accused of being drunk , and that the illness had been diagnosed earlier in the year.
He died on 27 March 2002, as a result of pneumonia, secondary to immobility caused by the palsy, in Plainfield, New Jersey. Rena Fruchter was holding his hand when he died, and she reported his final words were, "I can hear the music all around me." Moore was interred in Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains, New Jersey.

I think I may have seen that, is it from years ago? I'll have a look at it later. Did you watch the TV film, Not Only But Always, with Rhys Ifans as Peter Cook? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Not_Only_But_AlwaysI know you're a big Peter Cook fan; I am too. We are always having Monty Python shoved down our throats as the greatest thing ever to be on TV and so very subversive etc but to my mind 'Not Only But Also' was way ahead of them and stands the test of time much better. Isn't it all a bit spooky the way Fry and Laurie have followed so closely in their footsteps? - only without all the massive falling out and drama, thankfully. If I could ask Stephen Fry one thing it would be whether they had purposely worked on their friendship because of seeing Cook and Moore's interaction. Are you still twittering with him or have you both given up?

Jean? Could you look at my sentence and tell me: - if I have used whether correctly or not.
- if I have used purposely correctly or not - if correct, might purposefully be just as correct?
Thanking you in advance...

tbh Trubbs I wouldn't put Fry and Laurie in the same league as Pete n' Dud, although I like Fry and Laurie...for me the latter were at their best in Blackadder performance wise. Rhys Ifans' Peter Cook was eerily good...saw that about four years ago I think.
Stephen Fry is very good on chat shows but Peter Cook was as Parky described him 'a chat host's dream.'
Great clip of he and Dud on Parky when in their prime...or the 'darkness' as Cook described it as they were reinventing themselves as Derek and Clive.
