Every time they mention Malcolm McLaren, RIP, on the broadcast media they play a bit from Anarchy in the UK. It gets very dreary, and I think it's insulting to the man on account of its reminding me strongly of The Milky Bar Kid, which it always has since it came out.
I know he didn't write that tosh, but does it really have to be continually hung around his neck now that he's gone?
"I am an AntiChrist" / "The Milky Bar Kid is tough and strong" etc.

McLaren in my view was nothing more than a very good PR man. The Great Rock n Roll swindle exposed the myth of the Sex Pistols. They were as manufactured as the Bay City Rollers...McLaren even once stage managed a near riot in a television studio to get publicity. McLaren was media savvy and knew how to get his products on the front pages.

At least it had a tune. Not like the stuff we've got now.

At least it had a tune. Not like the stuff we've got now. How true. The Milky Bar Kid had a jolly, harmless tune, even though it was advertising a product from an evil multinational corporation. Pity about the other one, which should have been sold to Monaco for use in the Eurovision Song Contest.

I think it was very cruel to force those little animals to wear their hair like that.
