Story of the day as far as I am concerned... A teenager who sparked a land and air rescue operation after stealing a boat has completed a sponsored walk around Britain to make amends.
Seb Green was 15 when he and a friend sparked a search costing £20,000 when they got stranded near Weymouth Harbour, Dorset, in May 2004.
He has spent nearly a year walking 5,821 miles (9,367km) around Britain with his border collie, Flash.
Mr Green, 19, of Weymouth, set off on 1 February and arrived home on Sunday. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/dorset/7782372.stmGood lad IMO. AH

I wonder how much coverage that will get? A brief spot on the "......and finally" bit!? I expect Breakfast TV might interview him. I wonder if there'll be a book! I've enjoyed all the "Coastal" ones - Paul Theroux, Mark Wallington, Bil Bryson etc. It's not often that you get youngsters (Gawd, listen to me! ) making amends in such a way - and if they do, it's not often reported. It's a pity things like the Duke of Edinburgh's award aren't more widely publicized. I had a great time doing mine - I wasn't a scout, and that's probably where the problem lies - too associated with dibs, dobs and nerds etc. Now if they had the D of E as part of the final few years of the school curriculum. It really would help kids out to be more independent and appreciate the world around them more.

Nearly a year? Blimey, there's dedication, though it is a shame he missed nearly a year of school for it
