The 20ft-high creation was the idea of Roger and Valerie Holley. It is made of two 25-year-old conifers which Mr Holley, 60, merged together. He and his wife, 64, spent five years pruning the trees in front of their home in Yeovil, Somerset to perfect the round shape. For the Christmas pudding look, they attached toilet ballcocks for berries and 5ft pieces of plywood for leaves, before spraying it with white emulsion paint. Valerie said: 'It's a very unusual thing to have in your front garden, I admit. 'But to see the children's faces as they walk past it is a real treat. It's our present to the community.' www.mailonsunday.co.uk/news/article-1097470/Pictured-The-tree-shaped-like-giant-Christmas-pudding--Mr-Mrs-Holley.html

Oh Wow! That beats £3000 worth of lights anyday!
I see as I'm writing this that Riot is still up as well! Too much good food probably! ;D

Two conifers? You can't see the seam from here. Very good, wonder when some miseryguts busybody from the Council will sneer at it and try to get it cut down or something?

The other thing is that some bright spark will come and pour something combustible over it and set light to it! I wonder if they'll cut a slice out?

[ 'But to see the children's faces as they walk past it is a real treat. It's our present to the community.' That would be the look of children wondering if they should run away from the loony house fast . .

The other thing is that some bright spark will come and pour something combustible over it and set light to it! I wonder if they'll cut a slice out? I was just thinking over that again, and it occurred to me - just imagine talking to the Insurers afterwards! "So, Mr and Mrs Holley" (Shows how much I notice - when I read that last night, the name didn't sink in!) "It says here you're claiming for fire damage that stemmed from a flammable substance being poured onto a twenty foot tall Christmas Pudding.............."
