No. No you don't have a clue what time it is. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00fyl5z - Horizon will try to explain it to you. If you would like to feel like a dummy or make your head hurt please watch this fascinating programme about time. ;D It was fascinating, I felt brainy at times for momentarily understanding it then stupid at other times for not knowing anything about the universe when other people know so so much. I <3 brainy Prof Cox.

Aaargh! He looks like a 12 year old!
Have you heard that "they" are thinking of changing to something called "UTC" and giving up on GMT as a basis for our time in general altogether! The other option, because our time is getting a bit muddled (and presumably this programme covers this) We may have to add a leap "hour" to our time, in order to catch up with the Earth!
We won't know if we're coming or going!

The programme goes onto a bigger scale than leap hours although it does explain that we are out of synch. I don't think they (who are they?) will change from GMT. It's a very popular time.

We've been using UTC/Zulu Time since 1972 haven't we? It's just another term for GMT.
Then again, GMT/ZT are based on the Earth's rotation, UTC is based on "cesium-beam atomic clocks".

I watched this, it was really good although I would have liked it if they went into a bit more detail.

More detail would have been great but too much for me to handle. I am going to re-watch it. I have forgotten everything he told me.
