I think I've been quite good so far! Two Sherries whilst opening pressies. Half a large glass of white wine. Two Gin and Tonics. One two thirds filled large glass of white wine waiting! By large, I mean that Four make one bottle as opposed to the usual size that need six to empty a bottle with. Cracking stuff, Gromit! According to the timer sitting beside me there are 10 minutes to go before battle commences on the food front! - Oooh! Better get the crackers down! ta ta! I'm thinking of the Stubbies - with your respective arguments Family fun going on! It'd be good to read a picture of your day when you drop by! (Sorry if that's a bit "What I did on my holidays" Primary School-ish) - but what the hell! You're all good writers - and I'll look forward to it anyway!

Six bottles of Becks
2 or maybe 3 glasses of red wine.
No spirits yet, but may shortly tan a quarter bottle of vodka.
First joint of the day and it's already half eleven.
They should erect a statue to me. Saintly Riot.
I AM NEVER HAVING CHRISTMAS WITH MY DAUGHTERS/PARENTS IN THE SAME POST CODE AREA EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER AGAIN.
I am about to go on a 2-day booze and hash bender to recover from the emotional fucking torture of it all.
Thank fuck it's over.

P.S. My Mum gave me perfume - Paris Hilton's 'heiress'.
Come on. You guys don't even know me, and none of you would think that a suitable scent for me.
Has the bloody woman never heard of Givenchy?
QOTT has gone out with her pals on the underage binge drinking. Uberteen is sitting next door being emotionally tortured and upset, ever since Gothboy called her boyfriend a 'peadophile' in front of her Gran and Grandpa . . who thought that was harsh.
Then proceeded to tell me about my shortcomings . . now THAT was harsh!!!!
Still, all my numerous neices and nephews are sound as.

Um. Did I say I was envious! OK Perhaps not that much then ! The wine flowed through dinner, the ham was excellent, then we just went to sleep as you do and I followed this up post 9pm with a lot of tea. Dearest Riot. I think you can be assured that even with the little knowledge that we have gleaned from you over the past few years we could all easily come up with something better than Paris Hiltons latest pong! A few years ago, the last gathering at my Grandmother's was a den of hatred and atmospherics. They'd all argued before we turned up and hardly anyone was talking to anyone. I sympathise. Hope you got some other good stuff too! My star prize - though needed and, what I'd asked for, was a new Moulinex Blender. Now not that I'm one for tit for tat games, but (between thee and me) Best Beloved's star present (from me) of a Nintendo DS Brain Training pack, seemed to overshadow mine just a little.

A few glasses of sauvignon blanc throughout the rest of the day and a whisky and dry ginger last of all.
Plus plenty of food to balance the alcohol ;D
What a lush.

Mini-Trub and I spent Christmas Day with four pensioners so it wasn't so wild. I think I had half a glass of wine and a big old Baileys in the evening. Had to keep my head clear for Trivial Pursuit. I am quite depressing myself now. I enjoyed the day.

Christ, it's no wonder we didn't hear from you over crimble...you probably couldn't see the keyboard...let alone type anything coherent on it! Edit: that was for the wild and vivacious Mrs E...not Trubbs who consumed less booze than me...Baileys indeed...tsk! AH

Strange really, because two large glasses of wine before dinner can leave me prostrate on the chaise. My brother and his mob came over on Saturday and went home this morning. I always drink more when my brother is around - he's a bad influence. The house seems terribly quiet now - except for Mr. E.'s snores emanating from the sofa.

(He's talking to Everso not me I hope, lol). Yeah, edited my post to reflect this...I don't want folks under the impression that I think a little snifter of Baileys is a full on night of Rock n' Roll depravity. AH

Your brother doin' ok Mrs E? He was having crap luck last time you mentioned him...had his car nicked and stuff. AH Yes, thanks Alpha. He has a nice new car now (after settling the insurance claim). The toe-rags that stole his other car plus belongings didn't have to go to court. Apparently there was insufficient evidence, despite CCTV footage. My wax doll has been working overtime in the hope that it might have some effect. Any chance of sending in the Zombies? We had a lovely weekend, with lots of laughs and me working overtime in the kitchen but enjoying myself. Mr. E. and I are off to a hotel just outside Newbury, Berkshire, for New Year's Eve, with a bunch of friends. Looking forward to it now Christmas is over.

Over the entire festive period, I had half a bottle of wine. The good stuff from Spar. Life's a bitch when your wife's got pneumonia and should really, really be in hospital where she'd be cared for and looked after (and I could have gone to my parents for a nosh-up) Perfume for Riot?

Life's a bitch when your wife's got pneumonia and should really, really be in hospital where she'd be cared for and looked after (and I could have gone to my parents for a nosh-up) With Best Beloved, I get to have quite a few Christmasses like that. Though I still tend to get through a drop or two, if only to immunise myself from catching whatever she brings home from work.
