Hitchc%ck. James Stewart. Doris Day. www.imdb.com/media/rm2884735488/tt0049470Saw this for the first time the other night - what a film! I have always thought James Stewart wasn't all that, didn't get the adoration of him, but he was magnificent in this film. Doris Day was just as excellent. During the concert scene my stomach was in a twisted knot. James Stewart is my new acting hero. Last week I watched 'The Philadelphia Story' with Katherine Hepburn and Carey Grant making 'wooden acting' an art form -I swear they must have a had a bet on as to who could say a line with less conviction - James Stewart out performed every other actor and played one of the most convincing drunk scenes of all time. I've seen The Man Who Knew Too Little too. A silly film, but fun enough, and of course, Bill Murray could say any line and make it funny.

You do realise that I've had to say Hitchc%ck because if I don't the filter makes me say:
Hitchcock.
;D ;D ;D
The filter makes my words rude. That's a great system.

Silly thing (the filter - not you!) I was always a JS fan. Although looking through his filmography you find out that you've only seen a tenth of his films! Never was a Western fan mind. Old Archie's alright too (Cary) I think he probably played up to the acting style after a while y'know.
